The deadliest killer in US history isn't the one everyone imagines. It's not Ted Bundy, or Gacy, or Dahmer. It's Samuel Little, a man who went undetected for decades.
Between 1970 and 2005, Samuel Little murdered at least 60 women (he confessed to 93). All of his victims were vulnerable women: many African American, sex workers, or homeless. He strangled them, and because he left no obvious wounds, many deaths were classified as overdoses or natural causes.
He was arrested dozens of times for lesser offenses, including sexual assault, but was never connected to the murders… until a DNA match in 2012 linked him to three cases in Los Angeles.
Once in prison, he began confessing, one by one, to his crimes. Most disturbing: he remembered the faces of each victim precisely. He drew more than 50 portraits, and thanks to them, many families were finally able to identify women who had disappeared decades ago.
Samuel Little died in 2020, showing no remorse.
He was not a criminal genius. He only killed those no one was looking for.
